CRITICAL REVIEW OF ‘INNERSPACE’ MOVIE

Innerspace is one of American’s marvelous movies which refer to Sci-fi studies. It imagines the future condition of the world, especially America itself, about the technology development surrounding people’s lives. Besides, it also contents learning process of consequences that will be occurred when the technology is failed in usage. The main actor of this film is Dennis Quaid who plays as Lt. Tuck Pedelton. He is the investigator who does the expedition into rabbit’s bodies by the aid of his professor and other crews by using the machine that can make someone’s body becomes very small probably as small as bacteria. However, it’s failed because of the annoyance of their enemies that want to snatch away the main device (like the injection device) which is used to transfer the researcher into someone’s or something’s body. When the professor is shot by the enemy, he forcefully injects the device into human’s body and then he dies. So, Pedelton is in the human’s body at that

Poem Analysis “Richard Cory” Edwin A. Robinson

Gambar
The Poem Whenever Richard Cory went down town,   We people on the pavement looked at him:   He was a gentleman from sole to crown,   Clean-favoured and imperially slim.   And he was always quietly arrayed, And he was always human when he talked; But still he fluttered pulses when he said, “Good morning,” and he glittered when he walked. And he was rich— yes, richer than a king— And admirably schooled in every grace: In fine, we thought that he was everything To make us wish that we were in his place. So, on we worked and waited for the light, And went without the meat, and cursed the bread; And Richard, calm one calm summer night, Went home and put a bullet through his head Analysis Edwin Arlington Robinson was an effective creator of portraits in verse, particularly of modern men, one of which is Richard Cory, a well-respected man who had everything. Besides, the poem he made is a narrative (intended to tell a story). It makes use of a plot of s

Poetry: Analysis of “The Road Not Taken” By Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood And sorry I could not travel both   And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; 5   Then took the other, as just as fair And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that, the passing there Had worn them really about the same, 10   And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. 15   I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. 20          The poem analysis                 In my opinion, we can conclude all of the main point of the poem above is generally about the consequences of someone’s decision for himself and other people’s lives. The first

Poetry: Analysis of The Death of the Hired Man (Robert Frost)

In this poem, Robert Frost raises three contradictive characters as the most influential actors. They are Warren and his wife, Mary, as the owners of the farm and Silas as a farmhand. In addition, He also putted the dialogue as the complement of his poem and kindly empowers the character of Warren as the teller of the story in some parts and concurrently also the speaker in the dialogue. This authority is seen in the use of pronoun for Warren which uses ‘I’ not ‘he’ (e.g. I said not he said; see line 14). These three characters are the main view that will cheer up the situation in the poem. The situation is the tension in the climax part which will be raised with hardly broken heart feeling over Warren to Silas especially. Silas is the purpose object that will get the emphasis in his lives because of something he did in the past. Consequently, he has to repay

Literature; SONG ANALYSIS 'WIND BENEATH MY WINGS' (Bette Midler)

Wind Beneath My Wings (BETTE MIDLER) It must have been cold there in my shadow, t o never have sunlight on your face. You were content to let me shine. You always walked a step behind. I was the one with all the glory, w hile you were the one with all the strength. Only a face without a name. I never once heard you complain. Did you ever know that you're my hero, a nd everything I would like to be? I can fly higher than an eagle, Y ou as the wind beneath my wings. It might have appeared to go unnoticed, b ut I've got it all right here in my heart. I want you to know I know the truth , oh baby I would be nothing without you. In my opinion, this song is very touching when I heard it. Moreover, the manner of the terms and the voice of singer are very appropriate and beautiful. So I really feel interested with this song. I think the song is generally about someone special that always helps and supports herself in many cases in the past. The time can
